OCTOBER E-NEWS An exciting month at BE Projects, with the completion 2 unique projects. The East Fremantle Residence made the most of the small block size, maximising the building footprint with high quality finishes and well designed spaces. The West Leederville Primary School project was a design and construct, the first of its kind for the client. After documentation was complete, we mobilised to site in and were able hand back the building in 6 months, ready for the students to use first week of this term.

PRACTICAL COMPLETE PROJECTS

EAST FREMANTLE RESIDENCE

Architect: Robeson Architects

On the corner of George and King Street in East Fremantle, a Heritage Terrace has undergone an extension ensuring that the integrity of this historical terrace remains intact. A mix of custom glazed maroon and matt face bricks frame the ground floor of the property, with vertical dark metal cladding and steel fins surrounding the upper floor provide privacy to the master suite.

WEST LEEDERVILLE PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASSROOM ADDITION

Superintendent Representative: Slavin Architects Construction Architect: Site Architecture Studio Client: Building Management Works

A unique project with the Department of Building Management & Works. This project brief from Slavin Architects was to transform an existing library, music room and art room into a building with a 2nd level including the addition of a staffroom, 5 classrooms and amenities. BE Projects worked closely with the consultant team and Site Architecture Studio to make this design a reality.

CURRENT PROJECTS JAPANESE SCHOOL RELOCATION Architect: Gresley Abas

Practical Completion for separable portion 1 and the new car park were achieved last week at City Beach Primary School. The renovations to the existing classrooms has been completed with the new arts & craft block quickly taking shape as structural steel has been erected, with brickwork and roof due to be complete this week.

BROMFIELD RESIDENCE

Architect: Carrier and Postmus

Waiting patiently for the weather to heat up to dry out the clay, the contract has been finalised and site mobilisation has begun. This new build comprising of 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house perched at the top of the block will have a spectacular views of the city.

DAGLISH RESIDENCE

Architect: VittinoAshe

Exciting times ahead with the recently awarded Daglish Residence alterations and additions. Working with Vittino Ashe architects, to create a new living area, master bedroom, ensuite, dining and carport including features such as rammed earth and polished concrete giving a unique and high end finish to the project. Meeting to sign the contract in the coming weeks and mobilising to site before November.

HIA MIDLAND BRICK INDUSTRY ACTIVITY BREAKFAST

BE Projects values staying up to date with industry matters. On the 6th of September, the BE Site Team attended the HIA Midland Brick Industry Activity breakfast, addressing ongoing concerns within the industry about combustible materials and use within the industry. The breakfast covered new legislations and processses that are being implemented to help tackle the use of these illegal combustible materials, providing insight on rights and tactics for builders to ensure they are protected.

BRICKWORKS 2017 CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Jason & Paul recently represented BE Projects at the Brickworks Golf day held at Joondalup Country club. The Charity auction at the conclusion of the day raised funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia. Thanks to Michael & the team at Brickworks for a great day for a fantastic cause.

CONGRATULATIONS

BE Projects Construction Supervisor Jason Watson has recently married his beautiful wife Kylie on the 26th of August 2017 with their close family and friends. The team at BE Projects wishes them the very best for a long and prosperous future together.
